My career decision was one of the easier ones. I got hooked on ads in junior high school. That’s what I wanted to do when I grew up! And I’ve been doing it ever since.

Getting here steered me through two journalism degrees (BA UNC-Chapel Hill, MS Northwestern) plus tours of duty as a promotional writer at a newspaper, a statewide banking group and an ad agency. Each was an invaluable stop toward the freelance career I launched in the mid-1980s. Since then, I’ve created advertising and marketing copy for business and consumer audiences for print, broadcast and online media. My style is lean, focused, purposeful and smug-free (after all, it’s your business – not my ego). I can work on my own or as a member of your team. And I seriously believe this should be fun for all of us.
